ETHOS

At Kuru, we are committed to the welfare of both our dogs and handlers. Our ethos revolves around ethical treatment, wellbeing, and safety in all work. The Kuru ‘culture of care’ is key to our success.

COLLABORATION

Kuru actively shares ideas and experiences with our conservation partners. Together, we work towards combating wildlife crime, illegal poaching & trafficking.

We can achieve so much more working for a common goal.

IMPACT

Kuru’s goal is meaningful and sustainable change. Our partners recognize the impact of properly trained dog teams in tracking down poachers and apprehending traffickers. The teams serve as a powerful deterrent, discouraging poachers and traffickers from breaking laws.

Working dogs have proven to be a highly effective tool in conservation.

By tracking down poachers and detecting trafficked illegal wildlife products dogs make a unique and crucial contribution to fighting poaching and stopping the illegal wildlife trade.
